The 2-channel Profibus-DP Fieldbus Interface Module, FBM223, connects PROFIBUS-DP slave devices (such as motor drives, I/O modules, and field I/O devices) to the I/A Series system. PROFIBUS is an open, vendor-independent fieldbus standard widely used in process automation and manufacturing. The standard, EN 50170, defines the functional, electrical, and mechanical characteristics of the serial transmission bus, ensuring vendor independence and openness.
