Product Description
ABB PM803F 3BDH000530R1 is the base unit in the AC 800F control system. Like the PM 802F, it is a core component of the same series. It is primarily responsible for periodically scanning sensor signals via the fieldbus module, processing these signals based on the user-installed application, and sending control commands to actuators via the fieldbus module. Compared to the PM 802F, the PM 803F features larger memory, enabling it to handle larger projects, and its upgraded technology reduces buffering time.
Function & Features
- The ABB PM803F uses a superscalar RISC microprocessor with a computing speed of up to 150 MIPS. It features 16KB of internal CPU cache RAM and supports memory with error detection and correction (ECC).
- The ABB PM803F offers greater memory capacity than the PM802F: 16MB of synchronous dynamic RAM (4MB of static RAM for the PM802F), 8MB of 32-bit flash EPROM (4MB for the PM802F), and 16KB of serial EEPROM.
- The ABB PM803F includes four fieldbus module slots to support various fieldbus devices and two Ethernet communication module slots using a 32-bit data bus.
