ABB CI854BK01 3BSE069449R1 PROFIBUS DP-V1 communication interface is a module designed for high-speed communication in industrial automation systems. PROFIBUS DP is a high speed multipurpose bus protocol (up to 12Mbit/s) for interconnecting field devices, like remote I/O, drives, low voltage electrical equipment, and controllers. PROFIBUS DP can be connected to the AC 800M via the CI854BK01 communication interface. The CI854BK01 includes two PROFIBUS ports to realize line redundancy and it also supports PROFIBUS master redundancy.
Function & Features
- Dual PROFIBUS ports: CI854BK01 includes two PROFIBUS ports to support line redundancy.
- Master redundancy support: Master redundancy is supported using two CI854B modules. This can be used in conjunction with CPU redundancy and CEXbus redundancy (BC810).
- Field Device Connections: Connect various field devices such as remote I/O, drives, and other instruments to the system via PROFIBUS DP.
- Terminations: PROFIBUS DP must be terminated at the two outermost nodes, which is typically done using connectors with built-interminations to ensure proper operation.
