ABB CI853K01 3BSE018103R1 Dual RS232-C Interface

ABB CI853K01 (3BSE018103R1) is a dual RS232-C communication interface module, mainly used for ABB AC 800M controller. It supports COMLI (ABB proprietary protocol), Modbus RTU, Siemens 3964R and user-defined protocols. When used with a fiber optic converter, when RS-232C is used for COMLI serial communication, the cable length can be greatly extended (up to several thousand meters), breaking the communication distance limit.

Function & Features

• COMLI protocol: CI853K01 can be used on the built-in COM3 port and CI853 port, based on RS-232C serial communication. Suitable for asynchronous master/slave half-duplex data transmission between controllers, supports application-controlled dial-up modems, and CI853 supports both master/slave mode under this protocol.

• MODBUS RTU protocol: It is an open serial protocol (based on RS-232, etc.), master/slave architecture, half-duplex communication. Both the AC 800M COM port and CI853 can configure their functions, but module redundancy is not available under this protocol.

• Siemens 3964R: It can be used on the built-in COM3 port and CI853 port, requires a standard RS-232C/485 communication channel, and is conducive to working with Siemens related equipment using this protocol.

• Customized Serial Communication: CI853K01 can be used with the built-in COM3 port of the AC 800M controller and the CI853 port to meet users' special and customized serial communication needs.
