Product Description
The FCP280 is a distributed field control processor for the Foxboro™ DCS system. It must be used with Foxboro DCS Control Core Services software v9.0 and above to form the EcoStruxure Foxboro DCS Process Automation System.
The FCP280 connects to the Foxboro DCS control network using a standard fiber or copper 100 Mbps Ethernet cable through a network adapter installed on the backplane.
Function & Features
FCP280 Fieldbus Management
- 200 Series FBM Dedicated Mode: Each bus supports 32 modules (4 buses × 32 = 128 modules), 2 Mbps HDLC communication rate.
- Mixed Mode (100/200 Series): Up to 64 100 Series FBMs per bus, and the remaining capacity is allocated to 200 Series FBMs (total ≤ 128).
Software requirements: FCP280 must be used with Foxboro DCS Control Core Services v9.0+
