ABB IMDSO04 Digital Slave Output module is one of four versions of the Digital Slave Output (DSO) module, which differ from the IMDSO01/02/03 in the output circuitry and switching capabilities. The IMDSO04 Digital Slave Output module outputs sixteen digital signals from the Infi 90 system for controlling a process. It is the interface between the process and the Infi 90 process management system, and these signals provide digital switching (on or off) functionality to field devices. The master module performs the control functions, while the slave modules provide the input/output functions.

Fuctions & Features

Communication level: ABB IMDSO04 is located at the I/O layer of the Infi 90 process management system, as a digital output slave module, and is used in conjunction with the master module (Master).

Core function: ABB IMDSO04 provides 16 independent digital signal outputs for controlling the switch (ON/OFF) of field devices (such as relays, solenoid valves, etc.).

Output circuit design: ABB IMDSO04 uses open collector transistor output, supports 24 VDC load, and has a maximum sink current of 250 mA per channel. The difference from the IMDSO01/02/03 version is the output circuit and switching capability.
