Product Description
Woodward 8200-224 SPC Servo Position Controller positions hydraulic or pneumatic actuators based on a position demand signal received from the control system, or single coil actuators using single or dual position feedback devices. Position demand signals can be sent to the controller via DeviceNet, 4-20 mA, or both. It is easily configured and calibrated by a software program running on a personal computer, and the SPC Service Tool can be used for configuration, calibration, adjustment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Function & Features
- Configuration and Calibration: The 8200-224 can be configured and calibrated using the PC software and SPC Service Tool. The Service Tool will guide the user through calibration when the actuator is first connected, or calibration can be performed by the control system via the DeviceNet link.
- Communication Connection: The 8200-224 connects to the PC via a 9-pin D-sub female serial connector. If the computer does not have a 9-pin serial port, a USB to 9-pin serial adapter kit (P/N 8928-463) from Woodward can also be used.
- Read and write configuration files: The SPC Service Tool can create configuration files and load them into the controller, and can also read existing configurations in the controller into the configuration file editor.
