Triconex 3503E TMR Digital Input Module
Product Description
Triconex 3503E is a TMR (triple-module redundant) digital input module with three isolated input channels. Each channel is equipped with a microprocessor that can independently scan input points, compile data, and transmit it to the main processor on demand.
The main processor performs real-time hardware voting (2oo3) on the three-channel data to correct single-channel errors. All critical signal paths from the input terminals to the main processor are tripled to avoid data loss due to single point failures.
Function&Features
- Optocoupler isolation: Each channel of the 3503E uses optocoupler isolation to achieve electrical isolation between field devices and the Tricon system.
- Channel-level diagnosis: The 3503E continuously monitors the health status of each channel and triggers the module fault indicator (Fault LED) and chassis alarm signal when a fault occurs.
- Stuck-ON Test: The 3503E simulates the OFF state through an internal switch to detect whether the input point cannot be disconnected due to hardware failure (such as contact adhesion). During the test, the I/O communication processor freezes the last valid data to avoid misoperation.
