MOTOROLA MVME5500 Product Introduction

MVME5500 is a VMEbus single-board computer(SBC)based on PowerPC MPC7455 or MPC7457 processor.It is designed to meet the needs of original equipment manufacturers(OEMs)in defense and aerospace,industrial automation,and medical imaging.

Processor performance

MVME5500 uses a 1GHz MPC7455 processor with an AltiVec coprocessor to provide excellent computing power.

Equipped with 512KB L2 cache and 2MB L3 cache,it further improves processing performance.

Memory and Bus

The powerful Marvell system controller supports 133MHz host bus and 133MHz SDRAM memory bus,which is a perfect match for high-speed processors.

Provides dual 64-bit,33/66MHz PCI buses,each with a PMC site to support cards running at 33 or 66MHz.

I/O performance

Equipped with one Gigabit Ethernet interface,one 10/100BaseTX Ethernet interface and two serial ports,it provides excellent system I/O performance.

Supports Universe II VME interface and PMCspan connector to ensure the reliability and efficiency of data transmission.

Onboard payload

Includes two PMC slots,two SDRAM groups,an expansion connector for two additional SDRAM groups,8MB boot flash ROM,32MB expansion flash ROM,etc.
