PROSOFT MVI56-PDPMV1 is a communication module developed by ProSoft Technology,mainly used for data exchange between ControlLogix processors and PROFIBUS networks.The following is a detailed introduction to the module.

Main features

Powerful communication interface:MVI56-PDPMV1 is a powerful communication interface for ControlLogix processors,using proprietary backplane technology,which can exchange data efficiently with ControlLogix processors.

Support PROFIBUS DPV1 protocol:The module supports full master station specifications in accordance with the IEC 61158 standard,and can transmit non-cyclic parameter data through Class 1 or Class 2 DPV1 services,allowing the processor to easily communicate with slave devices supporting PROFIBUS DPV0/V1 protocol.

Input and output module:MVI56-PDPMV1 is regarded as an input/output module and can access processor memory for data transmission between processor and module.

Ladder logic:For data transmission between module and processor,with ladder example files(additional instructions).

Configurable I/O backplane size:Get the best performance for remote rack applications.

CIPconnect™Enabled:Module supports the use of Rockwell Automation Ethernet interface to communicate with ProSoft Configuration Builder and FDT comDTM via Ethernet routing.

Battery Description

The module is equipped with a rechargeable lithium vanadium pentoxide battery for data protection of 512K SRAM.

The clock and CMOS work normally through this battery.

The battery can extend the service life of the module.

The module needs to be charged for about 12 hours to fully charge the battery when it is first powered on.

When the module is fully charged,the battery powers the CMOS settings,clock and SRAM,which can last for about 21 days.

The user cannot replace the battery by himself.

Safety Precautions

Explosion-proof level:This module is suitable for Class I,Division 2 areas,emphasizing that the explosion-proof level of the area should be maintained when replacing components.

Power-off requirements:When replacing components or wiring in hazardous areas,the power must be disconnected first.

Safe operation:Do not disconnect the module when you are not sure whether the area is dangerous.

Protection requirements:The module must be installed in a control cabinet with protection level IP54,and external means must be provided to prevent the power supply from exceeding 40%of the rated voltage.

Certification requirements:The module should be installed on an ATEX certified backplane.
