Emerson MTL5053 Product Introduction

MTL5053 is specifically designed to extend 31.25kbit/s(H1)fieldbus networks into hazardous areas.It is capable of providing power and communication to devices powered by signal wires,and is particularly suitable for devices with small bus lengths in safe areas.Through the switch on the top of the module,the user can enable the internal terminator.

Location:MTL5053 is suitable for hazardous areas such as Zone 0,IIC,T4-6(subject to appropriate certification).

Power supply:The hazardous area fieldbus power supply is 18.4V±2%,105Ω±3%DC impedance,and the maximum current is 80mA.

Cable length:The maximum cable length is subject to IS requirements,depending on the other devices connected and the maximum acceptable voltage drop along the cable.

Digital signal transmission:Compatible with 31.25kbit/s fieldbus systems and conforms to fieldbus standards.
