Main functional features
Precise voltage regulation
DECS-200-2L can adjust the RMS(root mean square)voltage of the generator to keep it within±0.25%accuracy from no load to full load.
This is due to Basler Electric’s many years of experience in manufacturing tens of thousands of digital voltage regulators,as well as the use of digital signal processing and precise regulation algorithms.
Stability control
DECS-200-2L adopts proportional(P),integral(I)and differential(D)stability control(PID control).
20 pre-programmed stability PID settings are provided,with standard stability settings for most applications and machines.
Allows the user to customize stability settings to fine tune stability to provide optimal generator transient performance.
Setup Software
Contains PID selection routines to help determine the correct PID settings.
Provides additional stability adjustments to customize stability and transient performance of the min/max excitation limiters and reactive/power factor controllers.
Underfrequency Limiter or V/Hz Ratio Limiter
The DECS-200-2L offers a choice of underfrequency limiter or V/Hz ratio limiter functionality.
The underfrequency limiter slope is adjustable from 0 to 3 times p.u.Volts/Hz in 0.1Hz increments.
The corner frequency roll-off point can be set from 45 to 65Hz in 0.1Hz increments.
This adjustability allows the DECS-200-2L to precisely match the operating characteristics of the prime mover and the load applied to the generator.
V/Hz Ratio Limiter
Clamps the regulation set point to prevent operation above V/Hz levels that exceed the V/Hz ratio specified by the DECS-200-2L.
This feature is also useful for other conditions that could damage the system,such as system voltage variations and frequency reduction situations.
Soft Start Voltage Buildup
Generator voltage overshoot can be harmful to the generator’s insulation system if not controlled.
The DECS-200-2L features a soft start feature with user adjustable settings to control the rate at which the generator voltage is allowed to build.
This reduces the amount of generator voltage overshoot from the rated operating voltage during startup of the generator system.
Parallel Compensation
The DECS-200-2L allows two or more generators to be paralleled using either reactive droop or reactive differential compensation with the addition of an external current transformer with 1 or 5Aac secondary current.
The current input rating is less than 1VA,which means that existing metering current transformers(CTs)can be used,eliminating the need for dedicated CTs.
