Product Description
CI854AK01 is a PROFIBUS DP/V1 communication interface module in ABB 800xA system. It is designed for AC 800M controller and is used to realize communication connection between AC 800M and PROFIBUS DP/V1. It has redundant PROFIBUS lines and DP/V1 communication functions.
CI854AK01 includes CI854 communication interface and TP854 backplane. As PROFIBUS DP master, this module can directly connect to slave devices such as S800/S900 remote I/O, and connect to PA slave devices through PROFIBUS link device LD 800P.
Typical applications:
Connecting PROFIBUS DP/PA field devices (sensors, actuators, remote I/O)
Redundant communication for critical processes such as oil and gas, power plants, etc.
Fuctions & Features
The master supports up to 124 slaves (no more than 32 per segment), and the TP854 backplane is equipped with two DB9 female interfaces.
In addition to cyclic data transmission, CI854/CI854A supports acyclic DP communication and slave redundancy.
CI854A can directly connect to PROFIBUS DP slave devices such as remote I/O S800 and S900.
PROFIBUS PA slave devices can be connected via the PROFIBUS link device LD 800P.
The CI854AK01 expansion unit features CEX-Bus logic, a CPU core with memory, a PROFIBUS interface with line redundancy and a DC/DC converter.
