Product Description
NGPS-02C power supply module is an anti-accidental start power control module in ABB inverter system. This board provides control voltage for the output stage of the inverter module. It obtains power from the 230/115 V AC auxiliary power circuit through a normally closed switch installed by the customer at a suitable location (such as a control console).
This module needs to be used with the normally closed switch and parallel relay installed by the customer to form a complete safety protection chain.
Function & Features
- Protection against accidental start: NGPS-02C controls the power supply of the NGPS board through a normally closed switch, thereby blocking the control voltage of the inverter power stage, effectively preventing the motor from starting unexpectedly.
- Relay auxiliary control: The relay connected in parallel to the power input of the NGPS-02C board cooperates with the connection of its normally open contacts to the digital input of the inverter, such as tripping the main contactor of the power supply unit after a certain delay.
- Emergency stop trigger: A20.2 power failure → 24V signal cut off → drive system receives emergency stop command. The main contactor is delayed to open (to avoid regenerative energy impacting the grid).
