ABB LD 800HSE EX is a FOUNDATION Fieldbus Linking Device that establishes a channel between FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1 (field-level low-speed bus) and FOUNDATION Fieldbus HSE (factory-level high-speed Ethernet). It serves as a gateway connecting four FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1 field networks with the FOUNDATION Fieldbus HSE backbone network.
Function & Features
- Process Data Redistribution: The LD 800HSE exchanges data between H1 links and transfers data bidirectionally between the H1 network and the HSE network.
- Publish/Subscribe: The LD 800HSE publishes process data from H1 devices via the HSE network and subscribes to control data sent to H1 devices.
- System Time Publisher: On each H1 channel, the LD 800HSE acts as the SM time publisher, providing unified time synchronization for the entire connected H1 network.
- HSE Time Synchronization: The LD 800HSE obtains accurate time from the HSE network using the SNTP protocol and synchronizes it with the downstream H1 network.
