Product Description
ABB IMMPI01 Multi-function Processor Interface Module is an input-output interface module for use between a host computer and the INICT03A computer transmission module. It is a single printed circuit board that occupies one slot in the module mounting unit and communicates with the INICT03A module via a ribbon cable connection. The board contains microprocessor-based communication circuitry for use in automation systems such as the ABB Harmony rack.
Function & Features
- SCSI interface: IMMPI01 is located on the front panel of the module, no external terminal unit is required. Supports high-speed parallel data transmission.
- RS-232-C serial port: IMMPI01 needs to be connected through the NTMP01 terminal unit (two RS-232-C ports are provided). It can be configured as DCE (data communication equipment) or DTE (data terminal equipment) through the NTMP01 jumper to adapt to different host types.
- Connection method: IMMPI01 and INICT03A modules are connected through ribbon cables. For the RS-232-C interface, there is a corresponding NTMP01 terminal unit for connection and configuration.
