Product Description

ABB IMASI13 is a Harmony rack I/O module in the Symphony enterprise management and control system. The module provides 16 independent isolated analog input channels, supports thermocouples (Thermocouple), millivolts (mV), RTD (thermal resistance) and high-level voltage/current signals, and has a 24-bit high-resolution analog-to-digital conversion (ADC). It can directly replace the IMASI03 module with minor modifications, but specification S11 in function code 216 needs to be changed to accommodate the resolution difference, and the power supply size and system current requirements may need to be verified due to the change in power consumption.

Fuctions & Features

  • Automatic calibration and compensation: Factory pre-calibrated (offset, gain, nonlinear error compensation). Automatic recalibration during operation to eliminate the effects of component aging and temperature drift, without the need for manual calibration by the user.
  • Temperature linearization: Thermocouple/RTD signals are automatically converted to °C or °F based on industry standard nonlinear correction tables. Cold junction compensation (CJC) supports local (built-in) or remote reference.
  • Engineering unit conversion: Voltage/current signals are ranged according to function code (FC 216), and outputs are directly converted to engineering values.
