Product Description
Emerson 8750-CA-NS PAC8000 controller carrier is the standard controller carrier for the SafetyNet system. It provides a mounting platform, power distribution, and signal connection hub for up to two SafetyNet controllers and associated power monitoring modules. It is the fundamental building block for building a SafetyNet control system cabinet.
Two carrier models are available:
8750-CA-NS (Standard): For general safety applications that do not require residual current fault detection.
8751-CA-NS (ELFD): Specifically designed for residual current fault detection in standard fire and gas applications.
Function & Features
- Change State Button: The Emerson 8750-CA-NS carrier features a manual Change State button on the front panel for each controller, used to manually switch between active and standby states in a redundant configuration or to instruct the standby controller to synchronize.
- Power Failure Input Terminals: The Emerson 8750-CA-NS features a terminal block that accepts the health status outputs of the 8913-PS-AC/8914-PS-AC power supplies. The Power Supply Monitor (8410-NS-PS) uses these terminals to detect faults in up to seven external power supplies.
- Power Supply Health Monitoring: The Emerson 8750-CA-NS monitors the health of up to two 8913-PS-AC or four 8914-PS-AC external power supplies, as well as the 12V power supply for intrinsically safe modules, when used.
