ABB PM511V08 3BSE011180R1 Processor Module

ABB PM511V08 3BSE011180R1 is the Processor Module for ABB Advant Controller 450. PM511V08 contains all RAM (Random Access Memory), i.e. 8 MB or 16 MB dynamic RAM with error correction code. It can be used in redundant hot standby configuration. Redundant processor modules communicate via built-in redundant control links. Two PM511Vs can be used to control redundant S100 I/O bus extensions. It contains the following functions as a CPU:

• The PM511V08 module also includes a program card interface and an interface for S100 I/O bus communication on the front.

• The PM511V08 has a four-position rotary switch for startup and operating mode selection, and a reset button for easy device restart.

• The PM511V08 uses a Motorola MC68040 processor with dynamic read/write memory (RAM) with ECC (error correction circuitry) to detect and correct data storage errors.

• The PM511V08 is used to store system software and user applications, but the memory is not expandable.

• The PM511V08 processor module is available in two versions, with the same type name PM511V on the front, which can be distinguished by a label on the side of the module assembly.
