ABB SDCS-AMC-DC-2 3ADT312700R0001 Control Unit is a specialized control board designed to work in conjunction with a DCS 600 module equipped with an SDCS-CON-2 board and S15.xxx software. It features an independent controller with advanced functionalities for speed regulation, torque reference generation, and communication with overriding control systems. The board is equipped with three optical channels for high-speed data transmission and supports various control and communication tasks.

Fuctions & Features

Software structure and functions:

  • Torque reference generation: The SDCS-AMC-DC-2 software structure is divided into two parts. The first part consists of the speed regulator and its additional functions, which is used to generate the torque reference.
  • Control and regulation programming: The second part can be programmed for control and regulation according to its own characteristics.
  • Data processing and transmission: The received data is evaluated, the torque reference is generated and transmitted to the CON-2 control board, and the actual value of CON-2 is read, evaluated and retransmitted to the upper control.

Optical channel functions:

  • Channel 0: SDCS-AMC-DC-2 is used to transfer data from the upper control (such as FCI, APC2, AC80, fieldbus adapter module Nxxx - xx, AC800M, etc.) or through the adapter module of other controllers to the DCS600 drive.
  • Channel 2: SDCS-AMC-DC-2 is the master-slave channel, which is used to operate two or more drives that are dependent on each other. The commands and values ​​required for this application are generated on this board.
  • Channel 3: SDCS-AMC-DC-2 is used to connect the PC tool DriveWindow for debugging and maintenance.
