Product Description
HIMA F6217 is a safety-related 8-channel analog input module for industrial safety systems (e.g. SIL3 applications). The module contains a redundant processor system for self-test and fault detection, and it supports current (0/4–20 mA) and voltage (0–5/10 V) inputs with 12-bit resolution and safe isolation.
Function & Features
HIMA F6217 redundant processor system self-test functions include:
AD converter linearity test
Channel crosstalk detection
Input filter function check
IO bus communication test
Microcontroller and memory self-test
Unused channel handling
For unused 0…5 V voltage inputs, jumpers are used for termination; unused current inputs are terminated with shunts, and the potentiometer in the cable connector is used to terminate unused voltage inputs.
