Product Description
ABB SPIET800 (often also referred to as the IET800) is an Ethernet CIU Transfer Module for the ABB INFI-90 system. This module enables communication between INFI-Net controllers and host computers. Its use requires certain software and hardware, such as Composer 5.1 and Harmony OPC. Ethernet communication with S+ Operations OPC90 requires IET800 firmware version A7 or higher.
Furthermore, installing the IET800 requires the purchase of a Basic Security License Key, part number SSBIET80000000.
Function & Features
- Data Processing: The SPIET800 sorts and organizes data received from INFI-Net controllers for presentation on the host computer. It also stores incoming data until the host computer requests it.
- Security Mode: The SPIET800 supports two security modes: Basic (Twofish) and Advanced (TLS1/SSL3). Basic (Twofish) is the default mode, using a 128-bit block cipher, while Advanced mode uses 256-bit encryption.
- Data Throughput: When connected via Ethernet, the SPIET800 supports data transmission of up to 30,000 tags (variables).
- Connection and Configuration: For Ethernet communication, connect the SPIET800's channel 0 (RJ45 connector) to the network. Channel 1 is not supported.
