Product Description

ABB FI830F 3BDH000032R1 is a PROFIBUS-DP fieldbus module for direct operation of PROFIBUS field devices. It plays an important role in the FieldController system, which relies on the CPU board in the AC 800F chassis to drive the fieldbus module.

The data transmitted by the ABB FI830F fieldbus module will be processed according to the configured link module, and then transmitted to the operator station through the Ethernet module and the DigiNet S system bus. The processing results are then output to the fieldbus device via the fieldbus module.

Fuctions & Features

  • Field device operation: As a PROFIBUS-DP module, ABB FI830F can directly operate PROFIBUS field devices to achieve control and management of field devices.
  • Extended connection: ABB FI830F can be connected to Freelance 2000 I/O units through CAN module FI 810F to expand the I/O capacity of the system. Each Profibus module can connect to a Profibus line and connect up to 125 slaves. Each slave can further expand the number of modules.
  • Slot configuration: Profibus modules can be installed in slots F1 to F4, and when the FieldController is fully configured, the I/O unit has 45 slots for installing I/O modules, and there are 3 fieldbus slots for connecting other fieldbuses.
