Woodward 8440-1884 Multi-Unit Grid Controller is the core controller of the easYgen-2000 series, supporting intelligent load sharing and coordinated control of up to 16 generator sets in island or grid-connected mode.

It controls the switching of units according to load demand through load-dependent start and stop programs, and supports mixed operation of engines with different power specifications. It can be used for mixed power units (such as diesel engines and gas engines) to optimize fuel efficiency while ensuring spare capacity requirements.

  • 16 units in parallel: 8440-1884 realizes active/reactive power sharing through CANopen, supporting master-slave or democratic control strategies.
  • Multiple synchronization modes: slip frequency matching, phase synchronization, supporting open/closed transition load switching.
  • Programmable output: speed/voltage bias output adapts to all speed regulators and voltage regulators, or drives external instruments.
  • LogicsManager™: 8440-1884 custom control sequences based on Boolean logic and timers, programmable relay functions.
