Product Description
Foxboro FBM241 is a redundant discrete input and output (I/O) module, including models FBM241, FBM241b, FBM241c, FBM241d, etc. Each module has 8 discrete input channels and 8 discrete output channels, and can be used as a single module or redundant module. Redundant module pairs can achieve FBM-level redundancy configuration when the field I/O is connected to the same common terminal assembly (TA).
This type of channel-isolated discrete I/O module, with the associated terminal assembly (TA), can support discrete input or output signals with voltages below 60 VDC, 120 VAC/125 VDC or 240 VAC specifications. Depending on the type of I/O signal required, the TA contains current limiting devices, fuses, relays, or relay outputs with internal/external power and fuse protection.
Function & Features
- Supports module-level redundancy: two modules run in parallel, FBM241 switches through a common terminal assembly (TA).
- FBM241 expands functionality through terminal assemblies (TA): optional protection/drive elements such as fuses, relays, solid-state outputs, etc. Supports internal/external power switching.
- Fail-safe mode: FBM241 presets Fail-Safe state (such as output default high/low).
- Output type: Sustained or momentary (adjustable pulse interval).
