Product Description
Allen-Bradley 1746-IB16 is a 16-point digital DC input module in the SLC 500 series. It is usually used to monitor the status of external devices, such as switches, sensors, etc., and pass this status information to the controller for processing.1746-IB16 provides an EtherNet I/P adapter (1747-AENTR) to convert existing systems to distributed I/O.
Function & Features
- Terminal Identification Diagram: Each module is equipped with a terminal identification diagram to facilitate user identification of terminals and wiring.
- Status Indicator: The 1746-IB16 displays the status of each I/O point through LED indicators.
- Relay Contact Material: All relay contacts of the 1746-IB16 are made of silver-cadmium gold. Gold plating can prevent oxidation and discoloration caused by idleness, and silver-cadmium is an excellent conductor.
- I/O Capacity: The 1746-IB16 can expand the I/O capacity of fixed controller systems. Two discrete I/O modules can be added to the 2-slot expansion chassis of the fixed controller.
