Allen-Bradley 1794-IRT8XT is a FLEX I/O Thermocouple/RTD/ Millivolt Input Module, which is a temperature and millivolt measurement module that supports thermocouple (TC), RTD (2/3/4 wire) and millivolt (mV) signal input. It is suitable for temperature and weak voltage measurement of DCS control system. 1794-IRT8XT needs to be used with FLEX I/O adapters, terminal bases, and other components. Each adapter supports up to 8 bases.
Function & Features
- Fault detection: 1794-IRT8XT supports disconnection, over-range, and under-range alarms.
- Common-mode rejection (CMR): 1794-IRT8XT is suitable for long-cable thermocouples or grounded/ungrounded scenarios (Series B version optimizes grounding).
- Cold junction compensation (CJC): 1794-IRT8XT comes with a 1794-CJC2 cold junction compensator (needed to be used in thermocouple mode).
