Foxboro FEM100 P0973CA Fieldbus Expansion Module
Product Description
Foxboro FEM100 P0973CA Fieldbus Expansion Module is designed specifically for the Field Control Processor 270 (FCP270) to provide it with four expanded fieldbuses. Its function is to increase the number of 200 series (or equivalent) fieldbus modules (FBMs) supported by the FCP270, and supports 2 Mbps HDLC module fieldbuses for communication between the FCP270 and 200 series FBMs.

Expanded FBMs Supported:
In typical control application scenarios, FEM100 enables FCP270 to communicate with up to 128 200 Series FBMs via four expansion fieldbuses.
Supports two types of expansion baseplates:
- Two-Slot expansion baseplate (Two-Slot): Only install FEM100 modules, suitable for upgrading existing FCP270 systems.
- Four-Slot expansion baseplate (Four-Slot): Can install 2 FCP270 controllers + 2 FEM100 modules at the same time, suitable for new system deployment.
