FOXBORO FBM215 Product Introduction
FOXBORO FBM215 module is a HART communication output module designed for industrial automation launched by Foxboro.It supports any combination of standard 4 to 20mA devices and HART devices,and provides eight isolated output channels.The FBM215 module can serve as a HART communication field device host,enabling the Foxboro DCS(distributed control system)to request and receive two digital messages per second from field devices.
Main Features
Eight-channel isolated output
The FBM215 module provides eight isolated output channels,each of which can output a standard 4 to 20mA analog signal or a digital HART frequency shift keying(FSK)signal superimposed on an analog signal.
HART communication function
Supports HART general commands,common commands,and specific device commands,but does not support burst communication mode.
Message pass-through function can be used to support two-way digital communication of HART devices.
Galvanic Isolation
All output channels are electrically isolated from each other,ground and module logic,ensuring signal independence and safety.
Rugged and Durable
Modules are designed with rugged housings for use in G3(harsh)environments.
Chassis designed specifically for mounting Foxboro DCS Fieldbus Modules(FBMs)provide various levels of environmental protection.
Easy Installation and Maintenance
Modules are mounted on Compact 200 Series baseplates and can be mounted on DIN rails or mounted horizontally in racks using kits.
When removing/replacing modules,there is no need to remove field device terminal cables,power or communication cables.
Visual Operation
Light Emitting Diodes(LEDs)are installed on the front of the module to visually display the module’s operating status and channel communication activity.
Wide Compatibility
HART instruments that comply with HART specifications 5,6 or 7 can be used.
Supports HART Universal Commands that interface with Foxboro Evo™Control Core Service System.
