Triconex 3720 Analog Input Module

Triconex 3720 is an analog input (AI) module with three independent input channels. Each input channel receives a variable voltage signal from each measurement point, converts it into a digital value, and transmits it to three main processor modules as needed. In TMR mode, the system uses a median selection algorithm to select the correct value from the three channels for each scan.

The Triconex 3720 has been discontinued and can be replaced by the Triconex 3721.

Function & Features

• The Triconex 3720's signal acquisition method for each input measurement point activates a fault indicator, preventing a single fault on one channel from affecting other channels.

• The Triconex 3720 module's fault indicator only reports a fault on a specific channel, not a failure of the entire module.

• The Triconex 3720 requires a separate external terminal panel (ETP) that connects to the Tricon backplane via a cable interface. Each module features mechanical keying.
