Product Description

HIMA F3238 is an 8-channel safety input module for evaluating signals from NAMUR-standard proximity switches or contacts with resistor networks. Suitable for use in intrinsically safe circuits, the proximity switches or contacts can be installed in hazardous areas from Zone 0 and above after certification. The module has been updated according to the EN IEC 60079-0: 2018 standard to ensure that it complies with the latest safety and technical regulations.

Function & Features

  • 8-hannel input: F3238 supports signal collection from NAMUR proximity switches or resistor network contacts.
  • Intrinsically safe certification: F3238 complies with [Ex ia Ga] IIC/IIB (gas environment) and [Ex ia Da] IIIC/IIIB (dust environment) standards. F3238 is suitable for Zone 0/1/2 (gas) and Zone 20/21/22 (dust) hazardous areas.

Power supply configuration

  • Main power supply (UB1): Rated voltage: 24VDC (-15% to +20%), maximum ≤30V, Um=40V (connector X4, pin z2/d2).
  • Auxiliary power supply (UB2): Rated voltage: 5VDC (±10%), maximum ≤6V, Um=7V (connector X2, pin z6/d6, z30/d30).
