ABB IEMMU01 Module Mounting Unit
Product Description
ABB IEMMU01 module mounting unit consists of a sheet metal card chassis and printed circuit board backplane assembly. It is open at the top and bottom to facilitate air flow between modules. It is equipped with mounting flanges and can be installed in a standard 483 mm (19 in) Elsag Bailey cabinet. The modules can be installed and removed quickly and easily, and are held in place by card guides, connectors on the backplane, and retention latches on the front panel of the module. The backplane is a multi-layer printed circuit board assembly that contains the electronics, shunt sockets, connectors and jumpers.
Function & Features
- I/O expansion bus interconnect cable: The ABB IEMMU01 module is based on 2.54 mm (0.1 in) center ribbon cable technology. The cable is available in 38 mm (1.5 in) and 171 mm (6.75 in) lengths.
- Bus segmentation capability: The ABB IEMMU01 module can split the Controlway or module bus into three segments on the backplane, increasing density and reducing costs.
- Optional main power distribution: The ABB IEMMU01 module is available with or without main power distribution. Module mounting units with main power distribution are only required for AC and DC modular power systems configured for main power distribution.
