Product Description

AI835 is a thermocouple/mV analog input module for ABB's S800 I/O series, providing 8 differential input channels, supporting a variety of thermocouple types and millivolt signal measurement.

The measurement range of each channel is configurable, including a linear range of -30 mV to +75 mV, and thermocouple types such as B, C, E, J, K, N, R, S, T (AI835A also supports D, L, U types).

Channel 8 can be configured as a "cold junction" (ambient) temperature measurement channel, acting as a cold junction compensation (CJ) channel for channels 1-7. The cold junction temperature can be measured locally at the MTU terminal block or at a remote connection unit of the device.

In addition, the user can set the module fixed cold junction temperature (as a parameter), and the AI835A can also set it from the application; if cold junction temperature measurement is not required, channel 8 can be used in the same way as channels 1-7.
