The ABB SDCS-CON-2 (3ADT309600R1) is a control board for the DCS500 series DC drives. Based on the 80186EM microprocessor and dedicated ASIC circuitry, this board manages the drive's operating status, generates thyristor trigger pulses, processes all analog and digital signals, and exchanges data with external devices (such as control panels and excitation units) through various communication channels.
Function & Features
- Internal Watchdog: The ABB SDCS-CON-2 (3ADT309600R1) monitors program execution. Once triggered, it immediately disables thyristor trigger pulses, resets analog outputs, and forces digital outputs low, allowing the driver to safely shut down.
- Power Supply Monitoring: The ABB SDCS-CON-2 (3ADT309600R1) comprehensively monitors the supply voltage through "primary power failure" and "secondary power failure" signals. In case of an anomaly, this board immediately generates a trip signal.
- Hardware-Level Master Reset: When the +5V voltage drops abnormally, the ABB SDCS-CON-2 (3ADT309600R1) triggers a hardware master reset, forcing all I/O registers to zero and suppressing trigger pulses, providing ultimate protection.
