Triconex 3721 Analog Input Module
Product Description
Triconex 3721 Analog Input Module is a member of the Triconex Safety Instrumented System (SIS) family and is based on Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) architecture. It converts variable voltage signals from various field points into digital values and transmits them to the three main processor modules as required.
The module features a mechanical keying design to prevent incorrect insertion and comes with dedicated Tricon cables. It is suitable for safety-critical parameter monitoring applications, such as pressure/temperature safety interlock signals and fire & gas detection systems.
Function&Features
Median selection algorithm: In TMR (Triple Module
- Redundancy) mode, a median selection algorithm is used to select a value from three channel data.
Signal connection requirements:
- It is recommended to use twisted pair shielded cable (AWG18-22)
- Grounding resistance <1Ω (independent grounding)
EMC protection:
- Built-in TVS tube (±30kV ESD protection)
- RFI filter (>60dB attenuation)
