Product Description
GE IC698CHS117 is a 17-slot rack for the PACSystems RX7i series that supports mixed configurations of RX7i CPUs, I/O modules, Series 90-70 I/O, and VME modules. Its backplane connector spacing is 0.8 inches (20.3 mm) and can accommodate single-width RX7i modules, VME modules, and single-width Series 90-70 modules (double-width Series 90-70 modules occupy two slots).
This rack is an open device and must be installed in an enclosure with a protection level of at least IP54. The rear-mounted rack is suitable for 10-inch (254 mm) deep enclosures, and the front-mounted rack can be installed in a standard 19-inch (483 mm) rack.

- The GE IC698CHS117 accommodates both single-width modules (0.8-inch pitch) and double-width Series 90-70 modules (occupying two slots).
- The GE IC698CHS117 provides slot sensing, allowing I/O modules to be addressed without jumpers or DIP switches.
- The GE IC698CHS117 automatically daisy-chains interrupt acknowledge and bus grant signals, eliminating the need for a blank slot jumper (IC697ACC772).
- The GE IC698CHS117 is equipped with a J2 backplane connector that supports high-speed VME transmission of up to 64 bits of data per cycle.
