GE DS200FHVAG1ABA is a high voltage gate interface board produced by GE Mark V series. It is specifically used for LCI power converters. The board provides the necessary SCR gate control interface and battery voltage monitoring functions. It plays a role in managing SCR (silicon controlled rectifier) ​​gate signals and battery voltage monitoring in high power applications. The board can be used for SCR ignition control in gas turbine excitation systems.

Fuctions & Features

  • Gate Power Delivery and Signal Feedback: The GE DS200FHVAG1ABA provides an isolated path for gate power from the gate pulse amplifier (FGPA) board to a 77mm SCR, sending a signal to the FGPA when the voltage drop across the SCR exceeds a certain threshold.
  • Status Indicator: The GE DS200FHVAG1ABA illuminates an LED on the board to indicate the presence of battery voltage when SCR blocking voltage is present; the SCR status circuit also illuminates a red LED labeled C STAT to indicate the presence of blocking voltage, which is visible when the bridge power is turned on and slightly dimmed as the SCR conduction angle increases.
  • Gate Pulse Conversion: The toroidal current transformer (CT) welded on the GE DS200FHVAG1ABA board acts as a gate pulse transformer. The single-turn primary wire on the board can pass through the center of the CT window, allowing the CT to withstand the static corona around the power line.
