Product Description
The FBM217 is a 32-channel discrete input module, each channel supports 2-wire DC voltage source input. Designed for Foxboro DCS (Distributed Control System). It connects field sensors (DC/AC voltage input) to the module fieldbus, supports voltage monitoring (30 VDC to 240 VAC) and contact sensing. The module supports single module operation or redundant configuration (dual FBM217), connected with a common terminal assembly through a redundant adapter.
Function & Features
- Multi-voltage input support: Each channel of FBM217 can receive 2-wire DC voltage signals, and can adapt to 30 VDC, 125 VDC, 120 VAC, 240 VAC through different TAs, and support voltage monitoring or contact sensing functions.
- Redundant configuration: Can be used as a single module or in pairs (dual FBM217 modules). In redundant mode, the same TA can be shared through redundant adapters, and the input current is doubled.
- Sequence of Events (SOE): FBM217 supports millisecond-level event acquisition with I/A Series v8.x and above (GPS time synchronization required). Earlier versions (<v8.x) implement SOE with ECB6/EVENT blocks with second-level accuracy.
