Product Description
Emerson KJ3241X1-BK1 S-series Serial Interface Card is an interface card for connecting DeltaV systems with other devices that support serial protocols such as Modbus or Allen-Bradley's Data Highway Plus. The card comes preloaded with a Modbus software driver, and other drivers are available to allow a variety of devices to be integrated directly into the I/O subsystem of the DeltaV controller. Data can be used by the control module or transferred as SCADA tags to a workstation for display and/or historical storage.

- Information Interface: The Emerson KJ3241X1-BK1 card provides a comprehensive view of plant-wide information via the DeltaV system's serial interface. All serial information from third-party systems, analyzers, PLCs, and more can be displayed on the operator interface.
- 1:1 Redundancy: The Emerson KJ3241X1-BK1 serial interface card can be added as a simplex card or as a redundant pair. For slave devices that support redundant serial ports, the interface automatically detects the presence of redundant terminal blocks, and the system automatically identifies them as a redundant pair.
- Ports and Speed: The Emerson KJ3241X1-BK1 serial interface card includes two serial communication ports supporting RS232 and RS422/485 half-duplex or RS422/485 full-duplex signals. These ports are individually configurable to support data rates ranging from 300 baud to 115 kbaud.
