ABB CI857K01 3BSE018144R1 INSUM Ethernet Interface

ABB CI857K01 is an INSUM Ethernet interface. The package contains the CI857 communication interface and the TP853 backplane. The interface runs into AC 800M and supports multi-point configuration, time distribution and time stamping in the switch cabinet, using standard Ethernet technology to achieve longer communication distances. The speed of a closed loop is typically 500 ms (assuming a control execution cycle of 250 ms). The AC 800M controller accesses INSUM functions through function blocks in the INSUM communication library. The CI857 is powered by the processor unit via the CEX-Bus and no additional external power supply is required.

Fuctions & Features

• Each AC 800M can be configured with up to 6 CI857s, which is convenient for adjusting the system size according to actual needs.

• Each CI857 can be configured with up to 2 INSUM TCP/IP gateways. Each INSUM TCP/IP gateway supports 4 LonWorks subnets, and each LonWorks subnet can connect up to 32 devices, which can build a hierarchical and distributed network architecture.

• When CI857K01 is used with different processors, the number of MCUs or other INSUM devices connected to AC 800M will be different. A single CI857 can connect to up to 128 MCUs or other INSUM devices.
