Product Description

ABB DO821 is an 8-channel 230V AC/DC relay (normally closed) output module for S800 I/O. Its maximum output voltage is 250V AC and the maximum continuous output current is 3A. All outputs are individually isolated, and each output channel contains an optical isolation barrier, output status indication LED, relay driver, relay and electromagnetic compatibility protection components. The relay supply voltage is monitored by the 24V power supply on the ModuleBus. If the voltage disappears, an error signal will be given and the warning LED will light up. The error signal can be read through the ModuleBus, and this monitoring function can be enabled or disabled through parameters.
