Product Description
The IC697PCM711 is a programmable coprocessor module in the GE Series 90-70 series. It handles the operator interface, real-time calculations, data storage, and more. It also provides access to user and system data using the powerful MegaBasic language extensions, eliminating the need for application support from the PLC CPU.
A single IC697 PLC system can support multiple modules, each accommodating up to 512KB of optional expansion memory. Dual-tasking functionality allows MegaBasic programs to run simultaneously while the module is used as a communications interface. Module operation can be initiated via pushbuttons or a connected PCM development system, and its status is indicated by three green LEDs on the front panel.
