General Electric IC695ACC400 Energy Pack
Product Description
GE IC695ACC400 Energy Pack is a backup energy module for PACSystems™ RX3i series PLCs. It only supports CPE302, CPE305 or CPE310 RX3i CPUs. Its core function is to provide short-term power to the CPU when the system is powered off, so that the CPU has enough time to write the contents of the user memory to the non-volatile (flash) memory.
The energy pack is connected to the CPU via the IC695CBL001 cable and installed on the left side of the RX3i module. It is usually recommended to be installed on the module in the rack slot 0 (such as the power module) to avoid occupying additional backplane slots.
Function & Features
- Installation location: The IC695ACC400 is fixed to the left side of the RX3i module (usually the slot 0 power module) and does not occupy the backplane slot. After installation, it extends outward by about 13mm (0.5 inches).
- Installation steps: Align the top hook with the module frame, rotate the bottom to lock the hook, the lock automatically locks, and use the IC695CBL001 cable to connect the bottom interface of the Energy Pack to the bottom interface of the CPU.
- Charging mechanism: When the system is powered, it is continuously charged through the 24V DC power rail. It takes several seconds to charge to the operating level when it is first used or completely discharged (during which time it reports the "charging" status to the CPU), and when the power is interrupted, it provides enough power for the CPU to save data to flash memory.
