GE DS200SHVMG1AFE is an SCR high voltage M-Frame interface board used in the Mark V Speedtronic system, and is primarily used to control and monitor the high voltage interface between the power supply and the SCR (Silicon Controlled Rectifier) ​​system in industrial gas turbine applications. The board provides critical control and protection for the power electronics that regulate the turbine exciter and drive systems.

Fuctions & Features

  • Signal Conversion: The GE DS200SHVMG1AFE converts -500 mV to +500 mV shunt signals to 0 to 500 kHz differential frequency outputs for accurate signal transmission to the power board.
  • Current Attenuation: The GE DS200SHVMG1AFE integrates a jumper-selectable 10:1 current transformer (CT) for current attenuation to manage AC line, motor armature, and SCR bridge voltages to protect the system from excessive current.
  • Isolation Circuit: The GE DS200SHVMG1AFE DC Bridge Shunt Isolator circuit uses a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) to convert the -500 mV to +500 mV shunt signal from the bridge to an output that is fed to the DCFB board. The isolator circuit floats to the bridge potential of the dc + and dc - voltages to ensure proper signal processing.
  • Overcurrent Protection: If the main line ACCT secondary current exceeds 144 mA, the GE DS200SHVMG1AFE board provides attenuation for the AC line current, protecting system components from overcurrent.
