Honeywell XCL8010A Excel 800 Plant Controller Module is part of the Excel 800 system and connects to Excel 800 panel bus and/or Excel 800 LonWorks bus input/output (I/O) modules. This system provides freely programmable control of HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems, including Optimum Start/Stop, Night Purge, and Maximum Load Demand.
The XCL8010A device controller module allows for a total of 381 data points (including internal virtual and hardware data points). The maximum distance between the Excel 800 controller module and panel bus I/O modules is 40 meters.
Function & Features
- The XCL8010A can connect to up to 16 panel bus I/O modules or LonWorks devices (such as room controllers).
- The XCL8010A can interface with programming logic inherited from the Excel 5000 series, and can also directly use legacy Excel 500 programs.
- HVAC applications typically require an equal number of virtual data points and hardware data points within the XCL8010A.
