Product Description

Yokogawa AAM10-S1 current/voltage input module is an analog input module for DCS systems,It receives analog signals from instruments and converts them into digital values that the system can process and use.

This module is installed on a CENTUM series I/O module base (such as the AMN11) and serves as an interface unit connecting sensors to the control system.

Function & Features

  • External Device Connection: The AAM10-S1 can be used with MTL 728 safety barriers (the wiring resistance must be ≤10Ω, and the minimum operating voltage for two-wire transmitters must be ≤12V DC).
  • RTD Temperature Monitoring: To acquire alternating RTD (resistance temperature detector) signals, set the I/O module process output to "RD" and select "RTD Input (ohms)" in the IOM Builder. After acquiring the RTD resistance value, use the FUNC-VAR or ZCTEMP function block to convert it to a temperature value.
  • IOP Detection Differences: When the AAM10-S1 is used interchangeably with function blocks (such as SQRT and SP1), the IOP (input open circuit protection) detection logic differs. The RIO system detects the "post-conversion value," while the I/O module used for the RIO system upgrade detects the "pre-conversion value." The detection mechanism must be determined based on the actual configuration.
