Product Description

Foxboro FBM202 is a thermocouple/millivolt input module with eight thermocouple input channels and one isolated RTD (thermal resistor) reference terminal compensation channel for terminal temperature sensing. Each thermocouple/millivolt channel accepts standard thermocouples with different temperature ranges and also has a thermocouple burnout detection (overrange) function.

Foxboro FBM202 Thermocouple/mV Input Module

The FBM202 is available in two passive terminal assemblies (TAs), a DIN rail mount TA similar to other 200 Series FBMs, and a backplane mount TA that mounts directly to the 200 Series backplane field I/O connector (providing field I/O wiring support for two FBM202s in a pair of slots).

Function & Features

  • 8-way thermocouple/mV input: FBM202 supports standard thermocouple types (J, K, T, E, R, S, B, N, etc.). Thermocouple disconnection detection (output full-scale alarm when open circuit).
  • Dual-channel fieldbus (2 Mbps): FBM202 supports redundant communication (A or B). Automatically switches to the backup path when one path fails.
  • Direct TA mounting on the base: Supports wiring of paired FBM202 modules (1-2, 3-4 slots, etc.).
