Product Description
Woodward 5466-352 MicroNet™ 040 CPU module served as the primary processor for the NetCon™/MicroNet control platform until the early 2000s and was used in Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) systems until 2009. Due to component discontinuation, this older CPU has been replaced by a newer model and the system needs to be upgraded for continued use. Converting a NetCon system to the new CPU requires updating the application software, replacing the chassis and power supply, and possibly updating the I/O modules.
Function & Features
- Traditional control system processor: 5466-352 is used in NetCon, MicroNet and TMR control platforms to provide processing and control functions for the system.
- NetCon system: 5466-352 needs to replace the chassis, power supply, CPU, and may also need to update the I/O module after updating the system. The software needs to be migrated to MicroNet Plus.
- MicroNet system: 5466-352 needs to replace the CPU and upgrade the software, and in some cases, the I/O module needs to be updated.
- TMR system: 5466-352 needs to replace all CPUs and core power supplies, which may involve I/O module updates.
