Processor: Equipped with MC68LC040 or optional MC68040 microprocessor, providing a frequency selection of 25 MHz or 32 MHz. These microprocessors have an 8KB cache and MMU, as well as an FPU (floating point unit).
Memory: Supports shared DRAM of 4, 8, 16, or 32MB, with parity or error checking and correction (ECC) functionality. In addition, it is possible to reach 64MB by expanding the mezzanine.
Storage: Contains 128KB of SRAM with backup battery and flash memory for onboard monitors/debuggers (1MB-2xx/3xx models on MVME162 and 2MB on 7xx/8xx models).
Serial communication: It has four serial communication ports and is configured as EIA-232 2D DTE.
Interface: Provides two industrial packaging ports, optional SCSI-bus interface and Ethernet transceiver interface.
