A4H254-8F8TRedundant Link Network Card is a 4-port gigabit network interface card with fast switching function for redundant links. Ports 1 and 2 form a redundant network interface that serves as the primary and backup for each other, while ports 3 and 4 are regular gigabit network interfaces. The bus interface of WN202 is PCIE Gen2 × 4, which can be used on devices such as PCs, servers, and industrial control computers. It supports Linux and Windows systems and is driver free and configuration free.
The biggest advantage of P0973JP is that it provides redundant links with microsecond level automatic switching ability, allowing the network to truly have the ability to be “always online” at the level of link connectivity.
At the same time, A4H254-8F8T can also set the judgment conditions for link switching according to the actual needs of users to adapt to special application scenarios.
(1) The configuration process of network card bonding is relatively complex, and problems introduced by configuration errors are not easy to troubleshoot.
(2) To achieve link redundancy through binding multiple network cards in the Windows system, additional software needs to be installed. Directly binding multiple network cards to the same IP address in the Windows system cannot effectively achieve redundant link functionality, and often requires the cooperation of external devices.
(3) The P0973JP of switching between master and backup for aggregated network cards is the same as VRRP in principle, so the switching time is also limited by the query interval time. Although the miimon value can be set as small as possible in mode1, due to device hardware performance limitations, the actual switching time is not less than a few tens of milliseconds, which can also have an impact on time sensitive applications.
